5 day FDP on Tech FOSS-Accelerating FOSS Technologies
ICFOSS is organising a 5 day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Tech FOSS - Accelerating FOSS Technologies, exclusively for the FOSS Cells Coordinators from various institutions across the State. The Scheduled FDP aims at organizing and empowering FOSS Cell Faculty Coordinators in the area of FOSS and its Opportunities. This FDP is an effort to organise the FOSS Cells and make them on the track to achieve the mission of promoting FOSS. The FDP will cover major areas of research like IoT, Assistive Technology, Language Technology, Drone Technology, GIS, FOSS entrepreneurship as well as Community activities on FOSS.
About FOSS Cell
To spread the spirit of FOSS technologies and applications among a group of students as well as teachers to encourage them in contributing towards the community development in FOSS. With this objective, ICFOSS has initiated setting up of FOSS Cell in educational institutions in the year 2015 in a voluntarily basis. The research and development using FOSS Technologies is also promoted and mentored in participation with the members of institutions and ICFOSS.
