ICFOSS in its mandate to promote free software and hardware across the State is organising its 4^th season of “Back-to-Work” Residential Program for Women , an intensive training in various free software domains, which aims at reviving the professional career of women. This time the program is conducting in ‘Software Testing’ , which is due start on 6^th October 2022 at ICFOSS, Sports Hub, Green Field , Karyavattom.

This 15 day long residential program is an initiative to empower a large number of talented and ambitious women, who remain outside the workforce owing to marriage, motherhood, local constraints, family commitments, pursuit of personal passions etc. Quite often, due to personal and family responsibilities, women choose to opt out from their career. Later, when these women decides to restart their professional journey after a break, they are apprehensive and could do with guidance and hand-holding. Taking a break from work can be a liberating & daunting task for women.

In this context, ICFOSS is offering an opportunity that allows women, who have taken a break from their career, due to personal commitments, to restart their career in various free software domains. It offers a profusion of second career options so that women can choose to return to work, one baby step at a time or bounce back with double the vigour.

ICFOSS has successfully conducted the last three seasons the program, and there we had the privilege to place 75% of participants in various reputed multinational companies such as Ernst & Young (EY), Tata Elxsi, UST etc.

• To create systemic pathways to facilitate the re-entry of women into the workplace.

• To make them financially independent and ensure greater women participation in the workforce.

Mode of training:

Our systematic approach includes skills assessment, intensive trainings, and mentoring that helps women returnees ensure that they are prepared and sets them up for success in their search for employment and beyond.

Modules:

The Fundamentals of testing, Testing throughout the life-cycle, Static testing, Test design techniques, Test Management, Tool support for testing, Automation Testing, Selenium Automation Testing, Selenium Frameworks and Project work.

Prerequisites:

Any graduates , who have prior experience in software testing / development / coding and have a career gap.

Targeted Participants:

The number of participants is limited to 30 No.s per batch. (This progam is reserved only for women candidates on a first come first basis )

Certification Criteria:

• 80% attendance

• 65% marks in Online Examination

• 50% marks in Assignments

• 50% marks in Project

Note:

Examination is time bound. Random questions will be generated from the question bank prepared by an expert panel and certified by ITH.

Dates:

The program is scheduled to conduct from 6^th October 2022 between 10am and 5pm. The scheduled dates are kept below:

6^th October to 9^th October 2022

13 ^th to 16^th October 2022

20 ^th to 23^rd October 2022

28^th to 30^th October 2022

Registration Fee:

An amount of Rs. 1,000/- shall be charged from a participant.

Note: We shall provide accomodation facility for the out-station participants, that cost will be included with in the registration fee amount of Rs.1,000/-
