ICFOSS in its mandate to promote free software and hardware is organizing its 6th season of “Back-to-Work” Residential Program for Women in partner with the Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission (KKEM) of Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC).

Join us for this immersive program on "Software Testing" at Sports Hub, Green Field, Karyavattom, starting from September 7^th to October 1^st, 2023. Don't miss this exceptional opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills in the field of Software Testing.

This 15 day long residential program is an initiative to empower a large number of talented and ambitious women, who remain outside the workforce owing to marriage, motherhood, local constraints, family commitments, pursuit of personal passions etc. Quite often, due to personal and family responsibilities, women choose to opt out from their career. Later, when these women decide to restart their professional journey after a break, they are apprehensive and could move with guidance and hand-holding. Taking a break from work can be a liberating & daunting task for women. In this context, ICFOSS is offering an opportunity that allows women, who have taken a break from their career, due to personal commitments, to restart their career in various free software domains. It offers a profusion of second career options so that women can choose to return to work, one baby step at a time or bounce back with double the vigour. This program aims to provide women with the skills and resources they need to re-enter the workforce and make a meaningful impact.

ICFOSS has successfully conducted the last five seasons of the program, and there we were fortunate to successfully secure employment for 60% of participants in esteemed multinational corporations such as Ernst & Young (EY), Tata Elxsi , UST etc.

Mode of training & Delivery model :

Our systematic approach includes skills assessment, intensive trainings, and mentoring that helps women returnees ensure that they are prepared and sets them up for success in their search for employment and beyond.

Topics:

Software Testing: The Fundamentals of testing, Testing throughout the life-cycle, Static testing, Test design techniques, Test Management, Tool support for testing, Automation Testing, Selenium Automation Testing, Selenium Frameworks.

Java: Basics of Java, OOPS Concepts, Methods in Java, Constructors in Java, Interface, Static Keyword, Final Keyword, Strings, Arrays.

Prerequisites:

Any graduates who have prior experience in software testing / development / coding and atleast six months of career gap.

Targeted Participants:

The number of participants is limited to 30 No.s per batch. (This progam is reserved only for women candidates on a first come first serve basis )

Certification Criteria:

•      80% attendance

•      65% marks in Online Examination

•      50% marks in Project

Note:

Examination is time bound. Random questions will be generated from the question bank prepared by an expert panel of ICFOSS.

The program is scheduled to conduct from 7^th September 2023 between 10am and 5pm. The scheduled dates are kept below:

Registration Fee:

An amount of Rs. 1,000/- shall be charged from a participant.

Note: We shall provide accomodation facility for the out-station participants, that cost will be included with in the registration fee amount of Rs.1,000/-
