International Centre for Free and Open Source Solutions (ICFOSS) mandated with propagation, promotion of Free and Open Source Software and related domains, is hosting its next batch of Online Certificate Programme in “Scientific Documentation using LaTeX", as part of its Capacity Building Programme. The training is scheduled to be held from 15th to 23rd December 2025.

LaTeX is a high-quality typesetting system; it includes features designed for the production of technical and scientific documentation. This Online certificate Programme spans 16 hours, offering participants hands-on experience with LaTeX. The sessions will be guided by seasoned professionals from ICFOSS, attendees will receive live online assistance. Participant progress will be assessed via, a final project upon program completion.

• LaTeX installation, running, LaTeX editors, document creation, LaTeX packages special character, sentences (spacing, newline etc), lists, box, Image, table, preparation of an article with two columns (including image, table), Maths package (basic equation, matrix), graph, circuit, Beamer, Report, certificate, book, bibliography, footnote, Malayalam typesetting (XeLaTeX), letter, LaTeX Online editor, Doubt clearance.

• The number of participants is limited to 50 numbers per batch, on first come first serve basis.

Certification Criteria:

Certificates shall be issued to participants who qualifies 90% of attendance and 50% marks in Project.
