ICFOSS is organizing a programme called "Drupal Global Training Day" on September 29, 2018, during 10.00 AM to 05.00 PM at ICFOSS Training Centre, 4th Floor, Thejaswini, Technopark. This programme is a popular Free and Open Source Web Content Management system (WCMS) conducted jointly by International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS) and it’s technical partner, Zyxware Technologies Private Limited. Drupal has a growing demand in the enterprise market in both public and private sectors and consequently a number of service providers are building their Drupal teams; especially in India. It is a preferred WCMS for multinational giants like Pfizer, Johnson and Johsnon, Motorola, The Economists, Governments of USA, India, Australia, France etc. and leading education institutions like Harvard University, Yale University, IIM Bangalore, JNU etc. firm have been backing Drupal.

Global Training Days
Drupal Global Training Days (GTD) is an initiative of the community to introduce people to Drupal. In 2017, GTD was held in 86 locations around the world. In 2018, GTD is happening in the month of March, June, September, and December. The objective of Drupal GTD is to teach Drupal basics about the software and the community. Events are organized by many different groups and companies. The format of Drupal GTD events vary based on trainer expertise and in many cases the composition of the audience. Some events run as hands-on workshops, while others are lectures or presentations. Attendees should leave with an understanding of what Drupal is and how to get started with the software, the community, and Drupal.org.

Prerequisite for Drupal Workshop
The participants need to bring laptop with the following installed.
MySQL 5.5.3/MariaDB 5.5.20/Percona Server 5.5.8 or higher with InnoDB as the primary storage engine, and requires the PDO database extension.
Apache2 - rewrite module enabled.
PHP 7.1 or 7.2 - Required memory size is 256MB. PHP GD and PDO enabled
A GNU/Linux system (Ubuntu 18.04 LTS) is recommended. If you can install https://www.drupalvm.com/ everything required will be preinstalled.
