Workshop on FOSS Transition Policy and Strategies for Government Officials
Government of India released its Open Source Software Policy in April 2015 which made mandatory to explore the use of Open Source Software in all Government Organisations.
In order to help government organizations to understand the nuances of the new policy, and to support them in their transition to Free and Open Source Software, International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS), Technopark, Trivandrum, is organizing a Workshop on FOSS Transition Policy and Strategies for Government Officials on 6 February 2016, at Padmam Hall, Institute of Management in Government, Vikas Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram.
The workshop focuses on:-
- Salient features of the new OSS Policy
- Kerala Digital odyssey and Open Source Platform
- Possible transition methodologies and procedures
- Discussion - FOSS transition in the State
