Training objectives of ICFOSS

The main objectives of ICFOSS in conducting the sessions are participants should leave with an deeper understanding of what an Open source is & about its software and how to get started with the software and its community.

Each hands-on session refers to the obtaining or transferring knowledge, skills and ability process needed to carry out a specific activity or functions; so, the benefits of training and development both for organization and individual are strategic and hence much wider. Thus our goal mainly focussing on participants career development and enrichment, thus expanding individual, group and organizational effectiveness. As it is our objective way to determine whether training achieved its goals, we are providing assesment tests to the participants to guage their involvement in sessions imparted and to pay close attention to the given sessions.

ICFOSS Training Methods and Activities

Each hands-on session was included with supporting documents such as copies of training materials, slide presentations, training exercises, which are beneficiary for the attendees. ICFOSS used to display the background component describes a training summary while starting a session constantly in all trainings. At the end of each training course, the participants were provided with course certification along with goodies, handed out by the authorities of ICFOSS. We are also providing assessment tests to the participants in the form of examinations to pay close attention to the all the sessions they attended.

Assessment Methodologies

Participants were required to undertake post-tests (the questions of post test is usually used to assess how much the participant knew before the training and how the training built their capacity). The certificates are issuing based on the performance in assignments, Examinations & Project. Moreover participants should meet our attendance criteria to be eligible for the participation certificate and course completion certificates.

Course Evaluation

The first level is evaluation which measures the feedback of trainees towards to the training program and learning experience. Several questions are raised during the assessment level in order to find out to what extent the trainees like the training and whether they feel that it is worth while activity to spend their time and effort.
The second level is learning evaluation which measures how much the trainees learned through the training, whether they improve their knowledge and skills.
The third level exploresthe changes in the trainees‟ behaviors. Did the trainees apply what they learned and gained into practices? To what extend about the trainees‟ improvement results into the implementation when they return to their job. The effectiveness of training is guaged by how training impacts and influences to the overall organization. At the end of the course, participants were provided with a course evaluation on line form to share their experience. Here Participants were asked to respond to some relevant questions.
